# Doug Van Bevers and Melodic Pathways

Doug Van Bevers is an Austin guitarist, recording musician, online guitar teacher and guitar coach. He created Melodic Pathways, a music-first system that connects five numbered fretboard Landmarks through four pillars: Map, Ear, Rhythm and Motion.

## Who the coaching is for

Adult guitarists who know more than they can reliably use and want to become confident, musical and prepared. Coaching is individualized around the player's goals, influences, hands, available practice time and the music they want to play, write, improvise or perform.

## Current public coaching options

- Player Profile & Clarity Session: $90 for one 60-minute working session. It stands alone and includes the private recording, written recap, custom fretboard diagram and a practical next direction.
- Guided Practice: $299 per month for two 60-minute sessions.
- Connected Coaching: $359 per month for two 75-minute sessions.
- Weekly Momentum: $539 per month for four 60-minute sessions.
- Weekly Intensive: $659 per month for four 75-minute sessions.
- The Melodic Pathways Year: $6,000 per year, $5,400 paid in full, or $500 per month. This is a year-long mentorship, not a discounted lesson bundle.

The four monthly coaching plans begin with a six-month agreement and then continue month to month. They include recorded sessions, written summaries, lesson-specific fretboard diagrams, Guitar Pro source files with PDF and MP3 exports when Doug builds a part or exercise, and weekly accountability between meetings.

## Melodic Pathways curriculum

The five Landmarks are referred to only as LM1, LM2, LM3, LM4 and LM5. They are shared coordinates, not isolated boxes or descriptive nicknames.

The four pillars are Map, Ear, Rhythm and Motion.
